Val di Sole is the exclusive venue for a cyclocross event held on a snowy track at the San Leonardo Lakes, on the road leading to the Tonale Pass.
On Tuesday, November 7th, the Organizing Committee of the Italian World Cup event launched online ticket sales on valdisolebikeland.com. Tickets for Sunday, December 10th, are available at €15 (exclusively online), with free entry for children up to 12 years of age upon registration on the ticketing platform.
SKI AND CYCLOCROSS FOR A MEMORABLE WEEKEND
Vermiglio's World Cup showcase is the icing on the cake of a long weekend on the snowy slopes of Val di Sole. For this occasion, Val di Sole Tourism Board and the Pontedilegno-Tonale Consortium have designed a special holiday package that combines skiing and cyclocross.
Visitors who book their stay in an affiliated hotel (the list is available on www.pontedilegnotonale.com/it/eventi/coppa-del-mondo-di-cyclo-cross/) can take advantage of a 50% discount on the cyclocross race ticket and a 20% discount on a Pontedilegno-Tonale skipass. The discount code to insert in the ticketing platform will be provided after purchasing the package.
VAL DI SOLE WORLD CUP PROGRAM
The program for the Italian UCI Cyclocross World Cup stage, organized by the Val di Sole Tourism Board and Grandi Eventi Val di Sole, under the coordination of Flanders Classics and with the support of the Pontedilegno-Tonale Consortium, commences on Saturday, December 9th, with free practice sessions from 14:00 to 16:00 CET. On Sunday, December 10th, the Elite Women's race begins at 13:10 CET, followed by the Elite Men's race at 14:40 CET.
Last year, Belgian Michael Vanthourenhout secured victory in the men's race, while Dutch rider Puck Pieterse triumphed in the women's race in Vermiglio. The Dutch rider repeated her success in Val di Sole by winning the 2023 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup stage in Daolasa di Commezzadura, on the way to the overall success in the World Cup standings.
