On August 1st, the Bike Park in Commezzadura-Val di Sole opens its gates to riders with some novelties on the ‘Wild Grizzly’ track. The legendary ‘Black Snake’ and the other BikePark tracks will be available for Downhillers until Sunday, August 23rd
The D-Day is getting closer for the Downhill riders in Val di Sole. On Saturday, August 1st reopens the Bike Park Val di Sole in Daolasa di Commezzadura (Trentino, Northern Italy), land of the most famous Downhill track in the World, the Black Snake.
Daolasa di Commezzadura is the hosting city since 2008 of the Italian UCI Mountain Bike World Cup round, awaiting in the next season the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships for the Cross Country, Downhill and Four-Cross disciplines.
However, riders will also find some novelties in the BikePark Val di Sole, open from August 1st until August 23rd (8.30-12.45 / 14.00-17.15). Due to the maintenance works, Daolasa’s cableway will open only the first section, which will guarantee access to all the tracks of the BikePark.
As usual, four tracks of different difficulties will be available for riders, two of medium level, White Wolf and Golden Eagle, the legendary Black Snake and another medium/difficult track, the Wild Grizzly, characterized by a new and ‘flow’ section at the very beginning, with berms and jumps, as well as technical sections.
In view of the 2021 summer season, the White Wolf track is planned to be renewed, with more jumps and berms, to make the course more fun. However, the track will be available during the BikePark opening days, while the construction side will resume after the summer season, coordinated by the Funivie Folgarida-Marilleva S.p.A.
“BikeParks are one of the main strengths for our bike offer – said the Val di Sole Tourism Board Director Fabio Sacco. - The BikePark Val di Sole gives skilled riders the opportunity to face demanding tracks, like the temple of the international Downhill: the Black Snake. On the other hand, the BikePark Pontedilegno-Tonale is the first Italian Family Bike Park, offering flow trails to riders of all levels. In Commezzadura, riders will find the first novelties of an renewal plan, in view of the 2021 season headlined by the MTB World Championships”.
The rules concerning social distancing will be respected in the BikePark Val di Sole. All the lifts will also be adequately sanitized, and air exchange will be guaranteed on the cableways.
NEW RUNS FOR THE VAL DI SOLE BIKE TRAIN/BUS SERVICE
Since Saturday, July 25th, Daolasa’s cableway and Commezzadura’s Bike Park are more connected to the rest of the valley. Trentino Trasporti, in collaboration with the Val di Sole Tourism Board, organized the Bike Train/Bus service, from Mostizzolo to Mezzana, with four additional runs.
Moreover, thanks to the Dimaro-Campo Carlo Magno course, it is possible to reach the start of two of the most spectacular trails of the 'BikeLand', Trail La Preda and Trail Folgarida.
Reservations are recommended to be presented by 4.00 pm of the day before, for a maximum of six people and six bicycles.
