New country, new race, and new run (on the legendary Black Snake) but the same result: Max Alran achieved his second consecutive victory in the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series. The young Frenchman proved to have a very good feeling with his bike and for this world-famous track, achieving the best time at each of the timings along the course. The Commencal Muc-Off rider finished his test in 3:49.230, more than 2 seconds faster than the World Cup's leader, the American Asa Vermette (Frameworks Racing). Third place went to another French downhiller, Mylann Falquet (Goodman Santa Cruz), 4.1 seconds from the top. Local talent and Val di Sole Bikeland athlete Christian Hauser (Union-Forged) had a chiaroscuro run and finished ninth.
