FOUR ITALIAN ATHLETES IN TOMORROW'S 4X FINAL BEST TIMES SET BY CZECH T.SLAVIK AND DUTCH BEERTEN

COMMEZZADURA (VAL DI SOLE – TRENTINO), 8 SEPTEMBER 2016 – The four Italian athletes made it to the final in the 4X qualifying timed runs of the UCI Mtb World Championships held tonight in Val di Sole 2016. Tomorrow evening on Daolasa track, in Trentino, Italian Giovanni Pozzoni, (22^nd - 48.038), Giacomo Fantoni (24^th– 48.058) and Mario Milani (28^th-48.296) will battle it out. In the Women’s category Alia Marcellini, clocked the seventh best time (54.302).

The fastest was Czech Tomas Slavik (44.832) followed by Austria’s Hannes Slavik (+0.468) and UK’s Scott Beaumont (+1.335). Among the women the best was Dutch Anneke Beerten (49.669) ahead of Czech Romana Lobounkova + 0.365) and Australian Caroline Buchanan (+0.625)

 4X finals will take place tomorrow evening (Friday 9/9) with start at 20.45. The 4X world titles are up for grabs. The race features 4 athletes at a time, the best two move onto the next knock out rounds until the winner is decided.
